The death toll from the blast has climbed to 12, as of 1600 BJT (0800 GMT) on Saturday.
Three people are still missing and 13 others are seriously injured.
So far, over 270 rescue workers have completed three rounds of rescue operations.
The death toll from the gas plant explosion has risen to 10, while five others remain missing, according to the information office of Sanmenxia City, central China’s Henan Province.
The blast also left 19 people critically injured, and several others with minor injuries.
Local authorities have dispatched 46 fire engines and 209 firefighters to the scene for search and rescue operations.
A team of medical experts from Beijing and Zhengzhou have also arrived in Sanmenxia to help medical treatment.
